William Hill Sports Book Award - 2007

The William Hill Sports Book Award is the World's richest sports book prize with £18,000 going to the winner - and a £2,000 bet with the bookmakers themselves. This year the prize is awarded to former Nottingham Evening Post writer, Duncan Hamilton for "Provided You Don't Kiss Me" - his analysis of Brian Clough and the nearly 20 years that he was manager of Nottingham Forest. The winner saw off challenges by other big names in UK sport with Sir Bobby Charlton's autobiography and Simon Wilde's portrait of Aussie Shane Warne also on the shortlist.

Winner - William Hill Sports Book Award, 2007

Duncan Hamilton's portrait of Brian Clough and his time at Nottingham Forest also won the 2008 British Sports Award for Best Football Book
