Newbery Medal - 2008

The Newbery medal winner is awarded by the American Library Association. It is the equivalent of the UK's Carnegie Medal. Runners-up for the medal are awarded Newbery Honors.
This year's winner is a most original work comprising 21 individual stories that illustrate life in England in the 1200's through the eyes of various fictional characters (look out for Nelly the Sniggler!).
