Costa Book Awards - 2007

The Costa Book Awards, formerly known as the Whitbread Book Awards, are now one of the UK's most reputable literary awards - and one of the most keenly desired by the authors themselves.
Prizes are awarded in only five categories and this year both the Novel and Children's categories attracted a record number of submissions. From these category winners, the novel "Day" by A.L. Kennedy was declared the overall Costa Book of the Year for 2007.
