Michael Rosen follows Jacqueline Wilson as the fifth Children's Laureate. The prize is awarded every two years to an outstanding children's author or illustrator. ...and Michael Rosen certainly deserves the honour - he is a prolific author, broadcaster, lecturer and poet for children, having written his first children's book back in 1974.
